MES traceability & batch control

Serial, batch, process and equipment bound at four levels; traceability lookup on one screen. Inspection records attached to batch, tolerance auto-judged, audit evidence exported in one click. Run one shop floor first, then expand.

These shop-floor problems cannot be solved by ledgers

Traceability by flipping ledgers

A batch fails; several shifts flip days of paper records. For audit evidence, material is patched from memory and steps are often missing.

Error-proofing by eye

Material and work order mismatch is hard to catch in time; old batches mix into new, no system intercepts at issue.

Inspection records back-filled

First-article, patrol, post-4M-change records flow on paper; tolerance judged by experience, changes untracked, unclear at audit.

Equipment data by meter reading

Ageing and test data hand-logged, error-prone and not tied to batches; on complaint you cannot match which batch.

Key capabilities

Five-element binding

Serial, batch, fixture, person and equipment bound to the same work order; traceability lookup on one screen, sub-second local query.

Inspection records on batch

First/last article, patrol, post-4M-change first inspection bound to batch; tolerance auto-judged, result photo uploaded, supervisor review logged.

Scan-error-proofing at issue

Scan to verify material-work-order match; FIFO interception of old batches at issue, duplicate scan auto-prompt, errors blocked before they happen.

Two-way ERP feedback

Assembly and key parts interfaced with ERP for two-way data feedback, forming two-way traceability; quality data aggregated to dashboard and SPC.

Different from generic solutions

One shop floor first

Validate one shop floor then replicate; we do not take "replace the whole plant in three months" projects; boundaries are in the contract.

Compliance basis built-in

Data structures designed per IATF 16949 / ISO 13485 traceability and record requirements, not paper ledgers digitised.

Interface first

Two-way feedback with ERPs such as Dingjie Yifei is confirmed within the proposal scope; no customer re-development left over.

Evidence-oriented

Every record type is designed around "how to export at audit", not just entry convenience.

Reference case (anonymised)

Delivered result shape for similar scenarios; facts and numbers can be interrogated.

Frequently asked questions

How deep should traceability go?

Default to serial level: serial → batch → process → equipment → same-batch flow; key parts drill down to supplier batch. Exact depth is confirmed at POC per industry audit requirement and written into the contract appendix.

How to integrate with ERP?

This phase focuses on Dingjie Yifei; interface scope (work orders, inventory, completion reporting) is listed in the contract appendix. PLM and OA integration are confirmed separately per project schedule, not included by default.

How long is implementation?

Single-shop pilot typically 6–10 weeks: ~2 weeks on-site diagnosis and coding rules, 4–6 weeks configuration and interface development, 2 weeks parallel validation. Whole-plant replication scales linearly with shop count.
